Active noise control

To expand our range our innovative acoustic technologies, we have set ourselves upon creation of a revolutionary active noise control system, for industrial applications.

Unlike passive approach provided by noise panels, active noise cancellation technology works on a different basis. The idea behind it is to measure the noise spectrum with applicable sensors and create in real time by means of advanced algorithms, a counter wave that is generated from an anti-noise speaker located in the vicinity of noise source.

Quick links

When both sound waves meet and combine together..

..an effect called destructive interference arises which, in simple terms means that the noisy sound waves get cancelled out by counter waves from active noise cancellation system, thus creating a noise free zone.

Active noise cancellation systems can be particularly effective at low frequencies where the wavelength of sound is in the range of meters and other solutions tend to become over-engineered or fail to deliver enough efficiency for noise level reduction.

The advantages are that the speakers and measurement sensors do not obstruct the air pathway of for e.g. HVAC duct or louvres outlets. Active systems can adapt dynamically to changes in noise signal and follow them accordingly providing robust solution for blocking excessive noise.

APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Power and distribution transformers
  • Compressors
  • Low frequency machines
