Sonobex has been working on the development of a new acoustic solution for low-frequency noise problems, this blog is part two of the development story.
Acoustic Materials and Metamaterials
Organised by the IOA Physical Acoustics Group, and co-sponsored by the recently established UK Acoustics Network; this meeting brings together many recognised specialists in acoustic materials and metamaterials from academia and industry.
The one day symposium is being held at The Millennium Suite. The Arden Hotel, Birmingham on Thursday 20th September 2018.
Delegates will be provided with a comprehensive programme of both theory and practice. If you utilise, specify or carry out research into materials or their acoustic properties, then this meeting is intended to help the delegate to understand the terminology used for absorbing, scattering and the diffusing of sound. Application of these methods can lead to the minimising of unwanted noise and his well-balanced programme includes; general methods, and presentations that will focus in on various applications and recent case studies.
Dr Daniel Elford, Chief Technology Officer at Sonobex will be presenting at the event with his presentation titled "An Introduction to Acoustic Metamaterials – a state of art review".
Sonobex are also proud to sponsor a prize for the "best poster" presented by an early stage researcher or IOA Young Member.
